ignorance is bliss

Now that we have seen it . . . what will we do?

Full of emotion and few words. Went to the village today and met these two boys. I was taking a picture of Drew in front of a house and this little boy kept popping around trying to see me. I sent Drew over to give the kids some candies. As we came over to share some food with the kids, I was shocked at what I saw.

Two young twins, cowering at their door. Brown door. Gold lock.

As we began to talk with them, our translator asked where mom and dad were and we were told that they were down in Cajamarca working. (At least an 45 minute hike)

These two boys were locked out of their house for at least 12 hours a day.

They were left with a 2 ltr bottle of orange soda.
